Gmail security issue

For all of you Gmail users out there: go into your account settings (top right of screen) RIGHT NOW. Choose "General," scroll way down to the bottom, and set Browser Connection to "Always use https".

This means that your connection to Gmail will always be encrypted, instead of only during authentication — particularly important now that reverse engineer Mike Perry has announced that he will release a Gmail account hacking tool to the public in early September.

Perry says that his aim is to alert the public to the danger of having their Gmail accounts hijacked, which Google failed to do adequately when it released the https option but didn't inform users about the urgent necessity of turning it on.
