Public Service Advertising Presentations
The students of the Broadcast & Electronic Communication Arts, Marketing,
and Design and Industry cordially invite you to attend the premier
presentation of their public service advertising campaigns for the Habitat
for Humanity Greater San Francisco on Tuesday December 16th from 2-4PM in Studio 1. More information after the jump.
Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco is a local affiliate of Habitat
for Humanity International that partners with hardworking families,
community volunteers and donors, to build affordable ownership homes in
Marin, San Francisco and on the Peninsula. Through the Habitat for Humanity
program, families working in service, manufacturing, retail and other
sectors are able to live near their jobs in decent, safe, permanent homes.
Every semester since it¹s inception in 1996, this interdisciplinary course
(BECA 647/MKTG 440), in partnership with the Institute for Civic and
Community Engagement, has given students from three different disciplines
the opportunity to work together to create effective advertising campaigns
in a real-world environment, for Bay Area nonprofit organizations. We are
proud to be able to utilize the resources and expertise of the University to
serve the needs of our diverse Bay Area community.
We hope you will be able to join us as each of our student teams presents
their television, radio, and print ads, and the creative briefs that
inspired them, to our Fall 2008 client Habitat for Humanity Greater San
Francisco.
