Screening - September 22nd!!!

The screening of the video shot by BECA 581 & 582 (Electronic Media and Social Justice) students in June 2011 in Guatemala for the Transitions Foundation and the video shot in the spring in San Francisco for Whirlwind Wheelchair will take place on Thursday, September 22nd, in Studio One (CA 128) of the Creative Arts Building. Doors will open at 7:00 PM for refreshments and videos will roll at 7:30 PM.

BECA students traveled to Antigua, Guatemala, in June to produce a video for the Transitions Foundation, which makes and provides wheelchairs and prostheses to disabled Guatemalans. (See blog on this site for a detailed account of the class.) Prior to their trip, they produced a video for SFSU's Whirlwind Wheelchair, which designs and distributes wheelchairs around the world.

This will be the premiere of both videos, produced by BECA students as a service to these organizations. Immediately following the screening, the videos will be turned over to the respective organizations for use in furthering the goals of the two non-profits.
