Video Production in Africa in Summer 2012

Consider enrolling in a course in the spring that will enable you to participate in a service learning, video production class in Africa in the summer of 2012. BECA 581 and 582 are a course sequence (581 in spring, 582 in summer) in which students spend the spring semester producing a video for a local non-profit organization, while preparing for an international trip. In the summer (June), students travel to that country to produce a video for a non-governmental organization (NGO). This year, the spring project involves foster children, and the summer project will be either in Kenya or Uganda. Students who participate in the project MUST take both courses; similarly, they MUST have completed BECA 546 (or its equivalent) either prior to spring or by the end of spring semester.
